Yuletide Dream: A South Dakota Acoustic Christmas is a popular ensemble of accomplished musicians with strong ties to South Dakota. The group charms audiences with a unique blend of old and new holiday pieces, traditional acoustic instruments and warm, rich vocals.

 

The program features a combination of traditional carols, Yuletide favorites, some seldom-heard holiday numbers and original songs. Among the numbers are traditional carols and folk songs such as “We Three Kings,” “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night,” “Somebody Talkin’ ‘bout Jesus,” the Irish “Wexford Carol” and “Kentucky Wassail.” Original tunes include the program’s namesake, “Yuletide Dream,” by Michael Connor.

 

Guest artists include humorist Gordy Pratt, with song parodies and original numbers, and writer and poet Bill Holm, who enhances the program with readings and poetry.
